Bookslut calls on the power of numbers to demistify the Times’ 100 Notable Books list:
Glancing through the list, I see a number of books that were favorably reviewed by a wide variety of papers across the country. (I know, because I read a ton of reviews for my work at Bookmarks Magazine.) Of course the big names (of both authors and publishers) are well represented. Should we expect the Gray Lady to be groundbreaking?
